In typical Couple of Roamers style, Laurie and I visited Chicago and decided the best way to get to know the Windy City was to eat and drink our way through it. Here is our mini guide of our favorite food spots and breweries we visited!
Who doesn’t want to travel the world for 6 months, a year, 5 years at a time? If you're reading this post I'm assuming you do, I know I do and I did for 6 months. It was amazing. We met great people, visited beautiful locations and enjoyed unbelievable experiences. It was a dream come true and I don't regret a moment of it. However, traveling long term does have its drawbacks and it may not be for everyone. Let me tell you why.
Today is the anniversary of when we set off into the world, not knowing what to expect but excited about the journey that lay ahead. This would be the longest either one of us has been away from home, the first time away from our families for the holidays and the longest trip we’ve taken together as a couple. As you can imagine, a trip like this can and will change you. It will change how you view the world around you, how you treat relationships back home and think about what you truly value in life. You’ll find out things about yourself and what your are truly capable of when you travel the world. Here are some lessons I learned when I traveled the globe.
When we visited Philadelphia for Independence Day Weekend we were looking forward to trying out some new places to eat and drink, as well as visiting some of our favorite spots. What better place to celebrate the July 4th weekend than in the city where it all happened! Not only is the City of Brotherly Love great for history buffs but also for foodies! Scroll down for our latest pictures from our weekend roadtrip!
When we started to plan our 6 month backpacking trip last year we knew we had to hop on a train to travel around Europe. Every travel blog we read, people we have talked to, all of them have said that traveling Europe by train is a must. Who are we to argue? We purchased our Eurail passes from Rail Europe and set off to explore the European continent.
